From the creators of Ada’s Kitchen + Coffee in Greenwich, Roost is a new chef-driven, quick-service, local eatery in Darien, Connecticut. The menu features scratch-made items for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a kids menu and weekend specials. All dishes are made from fresh and local ingredients, including convenient grab-and-go items made fresh daily.
Born and raised in Greenwich, CT, Mike Pietrafeso graduated from The French Culinary Institute in 2006, and in the past decade, has gained extensive restaurant and catering experience throughout Fairfield County, including at Plum Pure Foods in Greenwich, CT; Napa & Co. and Bar Rosso in Stamford, CT; Le Farm in Westport, CT; and private residences in Pound Ridge, NY and Westport, CT.
Mike’s first solo venture, Ada’s Kitchen + Coffee (opened February 2016) has won him many accolades, including winning “Best Coffee Shop” and “Best Breakfast” in Greenwich for the 2017 Best of the Gold Coast. He was also selected as one of the “Most Innovative Chefs of 2017” for the 2017 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival by Serendipity Magazine.
Mike’s wealth of knowledge and experience, combined with his desire to support local farms and communities, is a perfect combination for creating delicious scratch-made food for everyone to enjoy.
Mike lives in Greenwich with his wife, Krista and his three young daughters, Ella, Josie, and Clara.
